Ylang Ylang is famous for its exquisite sweet, rich, spicy fragrance.  It is often used to support healthy skin and promote thick, shiny, lustrous hair while providing a calming effect and positive outlook.  Historically used for skin treatments, control split ends, treat colic, constipation, indigestion, stomach aches and to regulate the heart beat and respiration. When taken internally it provides antioxidant support.  It is also popular for balancing hormones.  Ylang Ylang blends well with Bergamot, Geranium, Grapefruit and Vetiver Essential Oils.

Ylang Essential Oil – 15ml bottle

Ylang Ylang Essential Oil comes from the star-shaped flower of a tropical tree. It is used extensively in aromatherapy to promote emotional wellbeing. It is also frequently used in luxurious hair and skin products for its scent and to restore beauty and lustre.

Its’ sweet, rich scent is used extensively in making perfumes and it blends well with Bergamot, Geranium, Grapefruit and Vetiver.

As with Jasmine, Ylang Ylang has been used for centuries in religious and wedding ceremonies.

You will often find it being diffused in beauty salons.

 

Here are some uses for Ylang Ylang Essential Oil.

  • Relax in a bath with Ylang Ylang and Epsom Salts.
  • Refresh your skin with an aromatherapy steam facial using Ylang Ylang.
  • Put on your wrists for a sweet, floral perfume.
  • Add a few drops to a carrier oil for a deep hair conditioner.
  • Add a few drops to your daily moisturiser. The balancing Linalool in Ylang Ylang nourishes and revitalises the skin.

 

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of choice.

Food additive use: Add 1 or 2 drops to food.

Topical use: Apply one to two drops to desired area. Dilute with a carrier oil to minimise any skin sensitivity. See additional precautions below.
